Hi, since the latest patch I had problems with FPS (10-20) especially bad when moving camera. Actually after 2 days when I started the game for some reason it worked good, I was happy, however after a while same problem appeared. On the next day game worked fine again but later when i played it again it all started again. I don’t run any programs during the play.

Are you sure nothing is running in the background? One “gotcha” that I’ve seen several times is that people “don’t run anything when gaming” but they have a web browser open so they can stream music or videos off the net. If the browser’s media player (Flash, usually) is configured to use hardware accelleration, that setting can override the GPU clockspeed and force it to run at a much lower speed. On my system, “hardware accelleration” for Flash forces the GPU to run at 400 MHz, as opposed to the gaming clockspeed of 950 MHz.

That might be something to check, since it definitely sounds like something is affecting the framerate beyond just the normal game and driver settings.

Any chance that you’re running on a laptop, sometimes plugged into the wall, sometimes running on batteries? Or that your Windows Power Management settings might be changing from “HIgh Performance” to something else, in between gaming sessions?

OK so something got updated on my GW2 but still I have problems with terrible FPS. Arena make it the way it was before so I can play the game.

It’s been like that for 4 days, what’s going on why can’t you tell what you are doing with this. Just make it the way it was. I know i must sound annoying but it sucks when I finally have some free time and can’t play the game because of some unknown issue.

Just another day and you can’t be even bother to tell me why you broke my game. You know how to fix this, cos you already have somehow. Then just ****** do it!

Problem seems to be fixed, FPS is good. I hope it will stay that way. Thank you for cooperation.

My FPS problem started 24 hours ago. I’ve been getting 50+ FPS ever since I started playing in August.

Last night, it wouldn’t go past 7 FPS. I changed my video settings to Best Performance but it only went up to 10 FPS. I made sure that no background programs are running but there still is no change. This is so strange. I played yesterday morning and it was fine. I logged in yesterday evening and that’s when my problem started.

I hope this can be fixed.

Yes, I had pretty much the same problem, let me guess your FPS is even worst when you are moving camera around? This has nothing to do with your PC. You gotta wait a while till it “fixes itself”.
