Ok, so yesterday i received my new Asus r501vm. I was downloading all the usual programs that i would be using it with (itunes, etc.). Then, it was time for me to install GW2. Everything at first was fine. I installed without any problems. But now, when i am updating (downloading the dat file) it randomly shuts down without warning. I dont understand how a brand new laptop can be shutting off for any reason. I’m new to this whole thing, so the more basically put, the better.

OS: Windows 8
HDD: 750G
RAM: 16 GB
CPU: Intel i7 3610QM
GPU: Nvidia GT630M

Abrupt system shutdown is usually due to some hardware issue. Try stress testing your system to see how it holds up. (see Part 5.1 for tools)
