Currently, this is my system.

Motherboard: http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16813128455

Processor: http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16819103727

Video Card: http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16814130690
Kinda like that one. Cept not refurbished, and its a cyclone (better fans) and its overclocked by 20% atm.

Ram: 8gb (2×4gb) 1600 ddr3

Other things: My case is good. My hard drive is good. My PSU is 550. I dont have a internal CD rom. I have no use for it lol. Nor a dedicated sound card. Im also using ethernet, not wireless.

Id LIKE to be able to play at a higher FPS during huge battles. But $ is also an issue :/ So its like…. How/where do i upgrade within a decent budget?

You will have to give a budget figure. ‘decent’ is different for each person.

3930k 4.6ghz | NH-D14 Cooler | P9x79 Pro MB | 16gb 1866mhz G.Skill | 128gb SSD + 2×500gb HDD
EVGA GTX 780 Classified w/ EK block | XSPC D5 Photon 270 Res/Pump | NexXxos Monsta 240 Rad
CM Storm Stryker case | Seasonic 1000W PSU | Asux Xonar D2X & Logitech Z5500 Sound system |

Save yourself the money and lower the graphic details. Honestly

A 500$ budget is unlikely to produce a configuration you will notice that much of a difference with. Better save some more and then buy whatever Intel’s 4th generation of i5/7 will be.

The gpu is, ‘enough’ but if you want to run at 1080p res and high settings. even that gpu wont be able to handle GW2 in heavy situations like WvWvW and heavy pve battles.
I know this becouse my 560ti maxes out often droping below 60fps down to the 30’s in heavy pve, 40-50 in lions arch.

Im in the Uk so not 100% sure on prices in America ..but $500 doesnt sound like much tbh.

If your ok with lower settings with that gpu then you should be able to get a i5 build. 2500k cpu + cooler, 8gb ram, and a mobo for that much. if you want a new gpu then you might not be able ot afford that ontop. If you can howeveri recommend a 500 series 560ti minimum. The 600 seires is having issues atm and the 700 series is coming out next year so you could just wait for that.

Your power supply will determine if you can get an upgrade. 550w power supply, what kind?
$500 can a GTX 670.
You will want to OC your cpu to help, but with the mobo you have, will not be good or even stable.

Best performance is low settings. You can do that in your current system right now.
If you want looking good with 60fps, your system will never happen.
Like I said, your power supply you have, will determine what card you can get and $500 will get you a very good card.
