Upgrading my Video Card - Which one ?
Post the rest of your Desktop’s specs please. It will help us determin how far its worth you upgrading your graphics card.
It may well be that if you upgrade your grpahics card, it will be held back by the rest of your rig. The fact your running an old 9600gs makes me think you probably running an old Core2Duo or Core2Quad, which means even somthing like a Nvida 460 (which is couple generations old itself) will be held back in GW2.

For that price a Radeon 7850 is perfect, it’s a great mid-priced sleeper card. Get the 2GB version and I know Sapphire and XFX make ones that are factory overclocked by a little bit.
Full specs:
GPU : Nvidia Geforce 9600 GS
2x 250 gig SATA HD
4 Gig RAM
CPU : AMD PHENOM 9550 Quad Core at 2.20 Ghz
Running Windows 7 32 bit (factory had windows vista on it)

Get the best card you can afford on >>this list.<<
Usually, a rough guideline is to buy a GPU that is relatively close to the price of your CPU. Buying too high of a GPU will just go to waste since the CPU would be too slow to utilize it, unless you plan to upgrade later to a better CPU etc.
For you I recommend something in the range of ~100. I say get a Radeon 7770, if you get one with rebate its like $70. GTX 550 ti is about $70 after rebate too.

Anything above a 660 is a complete and total waste for this game.
A better CPU matters more than anything in GW2.
>.<
ouch that cpu is really gunna be hurting your performance.
I suggest you ether forget about upgrading your graphics card for now and save another $100 or so, so you can buy a new motherboard + Intel CPU + RAM.
Then after that you can look into buying a 560ti, 660ti, 7850, or 7950 GPU when u have some more cash spare.
Or just buy a cheap Nvidia 550ti or AMD 7770 now for a slight inprovment in pve environments, then upgrade ur cpu later to gain the rest of the gpu’s potential.

Okay. Im going to upgrade my CPU along with it (upcoming holidays will earn me some extra cash)
But i dont want to swap to intel cause that means i have to swap ram, Psu, motherboard and even reinstall my OS
So what about this cpu ? : http://www.cpubenchmark.net/cpu.php?cpu=AMD+Phenom+II+X4+965
Is this a good one ?

hate to say it but you aren’t likely to get great performance on any AMD CPU, even if you “upgrade” to a bulldozer/piledriver
by all means try it though

Just dont get hd 7850 as someone sugested. Its a good card but ati drivers are …. i wont even comment on this. Hella lot of ppl have problems with 7xxx series from flicerking artifacts(i myself have them), black lines on the floor, black screens etc…
Any meaningfull upgrade will requir DDR3 ram anyway. As for PSU, so long as your current one is at minimum 400W you should be ok for a non OC’d system. However you will want to OC so a 600w would be neccesery tbh.
The only AMD cpu worth getting to play GW2 is the FX8350 and ofc it will requir a OC so you would likely need a new mothebroard ram and psu anyway..so mightaswell go Intel.

I can imagine the FX8350 on overclock runs incredibly hot too
With your CPU, you might want to check this before upgrading anything.
