Urgent help required!!
Given the specs, this laptop should play the game on medium and some settings that are not power intensive on high or even max so I’m not sure what’s up with it. (Also graphic intensive games don’t compare to GW2; CPU intensive games do) but that i5 should make short work of the game, but as for the laptop shutting off when you try to play it? That’s something I’ve not seen.

I have managed to get in-game before. I’m level 3 at the moment. It just suddenly stopped working. O_o
Make sure your comp is using your ATI Radeon HD 7670m since this is the better vid card (unless running on battery, you may opt for the lesser card).
The hd 4000 is your integrated card and the 7670m is your discrete card.
Btw, how old is this laptop? It’s possible it just overheated and shut down; a good internal fan cleaning may be in order.

This laptop is roughly 3 months old. I’ve tried running the game with both cards separately. Same error. :/
Maybe try running this (if you can get in guild wars while doing so would be best). If you can’t get into game without absolute shutdown, try just opening the launcher and logging in, but don’t hit play. While this bit is running, get a screenshot of this program and post it here so we can take a look.

Yes, it monitors temps, but depending on the sensors available, it can see other things too.

Hi all who may be listening to this thread.
I just re-installed Windows 8. Seems to have fixed the issue. Strange though.
Thanks anyway
Sometimes windows goes wonky… Re-installs are common with that OS.
