First off – I have not created a ticket.
Second – I have searched for this issue but there is a plethora of similar issues, but none I can match so hopefully somebody can steer me in the right direction.

Played yesterday (8-6-2013) just fine. Lost power overnight.

Today I can log in, but when I click ‘Play’ I get a flicker, as if the game client boots, then a triple flicker on a black screen and the message
“A serious error has occurred that prevents the program from continuing to run. You can help us blah blah blah”

Under error log the message:

VerifyAccess failed or denied access with 0×80070716 – 1
File 0×73b8d stream 0×0 cancelled/failed
Failed to lock content pack file: ‘??’

Hi pswendel. – Could you please post the full crash log? This is only a small portion of the error which doesn’t quite tell the whole story here. You can find the report by navigating to Documents\Guild Wars 2 and it’ll be the ArenaNet.log file. You can attach it to the thread by clicking “More posting & formatting options…”
