Very Frustrating "CAN'T BUY GEMS" Problem
I’ve tried to buy gems all day… with 2 different cards and paypal, and still can’t buy them, the message says that my card details have to be checked, they are right, and the cards have funds, please give me a solution, and I hope the 10+ attempts don’t get charged on my cards any ways.

It would be really, really unlikely that the charges would be processed, and if they are, the team will remove them as quickly as possible. Since you’re having issues of this kind, I suggest you just go ahead and contact Support by filing a ticket through the “Ask a Question” tab on that linked page. They will be able to assist you.
I really regret that you’re getting hurdles in the way of your supporting the game through a gem purchase, but there are a lot of “working pieces” with purchases, and this could be anything from a bank issue to anti-fraud protections. In the end, Support will help you out!

This might be a really silly comment.
But have you made sure that when you are entering your card details you click the little picture of what type of card you are using (e.g. the little Visa pictures etc).
I didn’t realise that you were meant to click those the first time around since I’m used to websites simply having the icons showing that you can use those types of cards and it wasn’t immediately obvious that they were clickable. So, that probably isn’t the issue you’re having. But just in case
lots of people are having this problem, and yes most of us entered our details right. ive done it so many times that i know my credit card off by heart. contacting support doesn’t do anything, they just throw u around and make you wait more then 3 days. this is obv an issue, and should be fixed. so ur telling me that the system thinks that 1/3 of the population is trying to commit fraud? can’t you guys lift the restriction off people temporarily for an hour just so they can make a purchase. its very frustrating and people who are committed to purchasing gems are just gonna give up. isn’t the point to make money? not shun it? cause it seems this problem is just being pushed aside. considering the fact that our purchases generate your income. just saying.

I am with Krip on this i was buying gems all the sudden you guys make it so i cant then its a big hassle to.
So either guys fix this or i will not buy anymore , they want way to much information and i will not fill it out this is your problem.

I agree with Krip and others. Same situation here, I don’t care about your flawed security measures in the least. Since I start playing I only managed to buy gems ONCE through paypal, all other attempts (10 or so) went to support.
Your replies are nothing but PR talk without any solution. How come people who run this company (not the developers, people who run it – people who are not gamers and only care for money) do not fire someone over this? Your innefective and non-working fraud “prevention” measures do only one thing, prevent playerbase from stuffing money into your company.

Fine, Turbine or PerfectWorld don’t have any trouble taking them from me with the same paypal details i’m trying to use for GW2, I’ll let them have it then, and you can pay your staff in in-game gold, bacause thats what I’m (and looking around forums to dozens with same problem (and hundreds who don’t bother to post about it i’m sure)) using to buy gems from now on.

I had this issue during the Halloween event. I’m assuming because I’ve used my paypal for both mine and my BF’s account. I contacted support and they fixed the issue within a couple of hours. I have yet to run into any more issues. I would recommend filling a ticket with support if you have not done so already.
Well just about had it with you guys here now i cant get into support my support account has been blocked.
My number was 130113-001821 and i want this fixed ASAP i love this game but am willing to leave it over this if it is not fixed fast and i mean fast.
My only complait with this game is this and the way you treat people over this. if you dont want my money just damwell tell me.
For you guys to just do this out of the blue not let me buy gems is crazy i have this CC for like 20 years now and can buy a kitten car with it if i want to.
I will not fill out another complaint about this i JUST want it fixed.
I am taking this personally because i have worked hard to have the best credit rating you can have.
