Guild Wars 2

Hello everyone, I have a veeeery strange problem. I have some cases when I start GW2 (on my mac of course) and it takes ages (even up to 3 minutes!) to show me the Login button in the startup application… When at last I am able to log in, when I change maps, it’s also makes up to 1 min to load, and the moving loading circle is freezing in the meanwhile.

In the beginning I though it was an install problem, so I tried to repair GW2. No luck…
Then I re downloaded. No luck…
I rested my SMC (because I have a late 2013 MBP 15,4 Retina on 10.9.2). No luck…
I formated my mac and reinstall. No luck…
I contacted apple and I changed my motherboard because my wi-fi spontaneously was losing my connection. So I thought that if it was something on my GPU, it will be fixed. No luck… again…

Let me note that it’s random when it will take long to load. Some times it works really fast, as it’s suppose to work.

A day before today, I noticed that at my office, the loading time is fast, when at my home is slow. I got the idea to change the standard DNS from the local router to google’s 8.8.8.8

omg… it worked!!! Every time I change my DNS, the long waiting is gone! I can not explain why… I don’t know why… I don’t know even if is relevant or it’s just luck! Please someone give some feedback!

Yeah, some ISPs route GW2 traffic funny. For instance I have basically 50 ms latency and 90 mb/s up an down but if I try to connect to a server in austin my down suddenly craters to 5 mb/s.
