Q:

I have an dell studio xps 8000. intel core i7 2.80 ghz. ram is 8 gb, 64 bit windows 7.
video card is nvidia geforce gt 220.,
After the game plays for a few minutes my screen crashes where I have to do a hard reboot.
I uninstall my current drivers and install the updated drivers from the nvidia, that did not solve the problem and cause other problems so had to do a system restore to get back to orignal. I have tried the other solutions out there.
this is what I get out of my computer’s event logs:

The UMDF reflector was unable to complete startup because the WUDFPf service was not found. This service may be started later during boot, at which point Windows will attempt to start the device again.

and

The driver \Driver\WUDFRd failed to load for the device WpdBusEnumRoot\UMB\2&37c186b&0&STORAGE#VOLUME#??USBSTOR#DISK&VEN_GENERIC-&PROD_COMPACT_FLASH&REV_1.01#18E391066476&1#.

It is not a folder, but a file in “\My Documents\Guild Wars 2”

Since you have a Core i7, try using the integrated intel HD graphic instead of your GT220
