If you use paypal go buy gems, you may get an error popping up stating ( An error as occurred, please contact support ) DO NOT try and buy them again, the gems will show up on your account after about 15 mins, and you will be charged as normal,

About a month ago I posted this about players trying again and being charged twice, I know several people in game that have been caught out by this bug, when I reported it last night it didn’t even get a reply from a DEV,

So be warned, if you use Paypal to by gems, and it tells you its hasn’t worked/an error as occurred, wait about 15-30mins, and check your account, do not try again.

This needs fixed on your end Anet, there is clearly an issue between Paypal and Anet, that is causing the issue, seeing as its an official Anet page that pops up stating there was an error and directs us to support, im guessing its on your end, some people cannot afford to be charged twice for something they think is a bug, or does support really want thousands of requests a day???

Oh I know there not scamming, but it used to work fluid without hassle for 18months, its only in the last few months it seems to pop up this error has occurred, and people are trying again thinking they did something wrong, when they haven’kittens a clear link issue between paypal and anet,

The point of my post is it was reported a month ago and nothing has changed, and if it wasn’t for the fact that it happened to me before it probably would have caught me out, but I bet it is catching others out that are not aware its a bug on PP/Anets side.

I deleted it because I had made a huge edit to it only to find that my internet disconnected during the save and I refreshed the page. The edit did not show and I gave up and stopped bothering so I deleted it.

The warning here is good but why would you think a Dev is going to answer about something like this? Put in a support ticket and make sure you mention your concerns about the potential for other players to repeat this failed process in your ticket.

Also, keep in mind that there is a 3rd party (and likely more we are both unaware of) involved in this transaction (Paypal), so making the assumption that the error and what needs to be done to fix it is 100% Anet’s fault / responsibility is not completely fair.
