Weird Mail Glitch
Yeah, its not working correctly and is rather frustrating.
Has there been any resolution on this? I too get “Unable to find recipient” any time I try to send items to another player, and I know I spelled this person’s name correctly — please advise!

Still nothing… I finally got sick of it again because it affects party invites too…
Everytime I submit a ticket they brush me off and say something like

Thanks for contacting the Guild Wars Support Team. In-game mail is currently up and working. However, please see below for important information that could explain why you may still not be able to receive certain mail:
-Cross region mail is not currently supported. At this time, you will not be able to send mail from a North American server to someone on a European server. We intend to support this feature at some point, but we do not have an ETA on when this will be implemented.
-The in-game mailbox can only hold a maximum of 10 player-sent mails at any time.
- NPC-sent mails do not count toward this limit.

This has nothing to do with my issue! This has happened before and I go in and respond and before either me or my BF know our tickets are closed. They just do not respond to his request for help even when he responds with more info.
It makes getting into a party hard sometimes or even joining friends for some lvling together is a task when instead of a simple right click, “invite to party” it is “uggh got to spell your character name in.” It really has made logging in not so enjoyable because it is such a constant frustration when trying to hang out or dungeon run. Our first ticket was 2 months ago, now he has submitted several on the issue and I am starting to get up there too…

When did this get moved to technical support?! This has nothing to do with the technical specs of our machines hardware.
Gaile this is a software based issue and is not relevant to the tech support criteria. It got shoved down into the abyss because of this move and I will be reposting it into the correct subforum.
Do you all ensure that capitals are used correctly in the name?
I would only get that error if I did not type the capitals as required.
Technical support is a helpful place for people to give advice in general terms, not just hardware, software, but their own experiences in how things work.

Tech support is not just about YOUR hardware. The point of this section of the forum is to give precise technical help from dedicated staff . Im shocked you dont know that and made the incorrect assumption its only for system hardware.
Me and my guildies have been having this issue also.
Eventually it started working correctly, seemed like it was something to do with replying to a mail sent by an alt character on whoever’s account.
We have not transfered server or anything like that.
After the maintenance that was just before this flame&frost patch we started to see a fair few strange things happening.
We still cannot upgrade our member capacity or ginvite anyone, while it keeps giving us an error saying we have too many guilds we are currently representing.

Basic facts and signs point to what it is for. They should fix that if that is not what it is for.
Still currently an issue not able to receive party invites directed at my account, not able to receive mail directed at my account. All of the ticket responses have said it is user error on my part when noone can right click and send me mail. They have to type my character name in the field. This is getting extremely frustrating as it makes for a major nuisance when helping someone out or receiving help myself. Party invites are a task and really just not acceptable. There are alot of people still experiencing this issue or at least no major fix for the people affected so far.
