Guild Wars 2

Hey guys, hoping I can get some help with this issue Im having. My computer is crashing really bad. I’ve done my research but cant really figure out whats up. I have attached my Arenanet log and my DXdiag below.

When I’m playing the game, every now and then my game will crash. Not a normal crash to desktop though, it literally breaks my whole system. The game will freeze up and then close, if Im listening to music or if Im on voice chat programs the audio is incredibly static-y then that program crashes. When I try to open google chrome, it instantly crashes, and if it was already opened when the game crashes, it closes. I can’t do anything to recover from it except reboot my computer.

It did this every 30 or so minutes while playing on high graphic settings, but when I switched to low settings, its only every 2-3 hours as you can see by my arenanet log’s uptime information. It can be very frustrating when it happens in the middle of a dungeon run or WvW.

It never did this in the Beta Weekends, but I’ve had this problem with games like LA Noire, Battlefield: Bad Company 2, and Battlefield 3.

Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thank you very much, I’m loving the game so far, just hope I can get this resolved quickly.

Please. Help me. It’s killing me inside

I have had the same problem tons of times, I feel unreliable, and don’t want to play because I know it’s going to happen again in the middle of being needed…

I’ve had the same problem. After starting the game, I set all the graphic settings to medium-ish, then opened task manager and set GW2.exe’s affinity to the first 2 cores only.
I also set the priority to high, but I doubt that does anything.

After doing this, I’m able to play the game all day with no problems. It’s not a pretty work-around, but it works for me.
