Weird disconnects...
im also having random d/cs and tiny lagspikes. avg around 30 ping then sometimes 1600 ping or a straight d/c to char select, at which point I can log right back in with no problems. bizarre :/ Was fine before the last patch, so its easy to blame that but dont know if it was the culprit.
Unlike OP, im d/cing just about anywhere, doesnt seem to matter. Queensdale mapping on an alt, doing the Mark 2 boss in Mount maelstrom, once while just roaming around verdant brink, and once right before killing a legendary I needed for achivement in silverwastes ( that one was real nice lol )
Never had an issue like this before playing gw2 so i dont know where to start for a solution
I have similar problems in that I have been getting d/cs increaseingly often, now 3-4 per day. I am on a vpn for security but the problem does not go away if I am open. Because of the vpn my usual ping is in the 60-80 range, with highs in the 1900’s for 2-20 seconds then usually d/cs. The d/c is shared between game server and login server. For me, the main d/c problem is usually soon after entering any instance. Against champions with many players My ping barely goes up and almost never d/c. This happens wither I am on 1 gig wired connection or 1.2 gig ac wireless to router.
I hope this info can help, as this is the only game or application which has this problem since I upgraded my router.
You need to run ping plotter if you want to assist Anet is figuring out the disconnects. Doesn’t matter what your connection is, if one of the hops between you and them is having issues, you’ll most likely disconnect from the game. If it’s Anet’s server, they need to see the ping issue as well.
And don’t show a picture of the ping in game, that doesn’t show where the issue is. Just that it’s an issue and for all anyone knows, it really could just be your router.
