I am having a weird (graphics?) issue. My screen fragments while playing and makes it impossible to see. I did not log in for a while, so after doing a fairly large update, I logged in and saw this. After restarting my computer, it worked fine. After minimizing and re-opening the screen, however, it continued. This also occurs on the login screen and during updates. I tried to adjust the graphics options, but no luck there. I am running Windows 7 OS with 6GB RAM and 2.10 GHz processor if that helps. I am hoping that I do not have to reinstall the game to fix this problem.

This is called “artifacting” and is coming from your video card. It can have many causes. What video card do you have, how much memory does it have and what are the core and memory clock speeds? Are you overclocking it all? Which drivers are you using? And does your case have adequate cooling?

This can be caused by overheating, a bad overclock, your GPU not getting enough power (which may indicate a power supply failure), bad drivers…the list goes on. Your card might also just be on its last legs, this could be a warning sign of imminent GPU failure.

I have ATI Mobility Radeon. I went to the AMD website and found an updated version for my driver. I downloaded it and restarted my computer. When I logged into GW2, everything was working perfectly. Then, I exited to the desktop and came back an hour later to the same problem. It seems like the first time I run GW there are no problems as long as I don’t exit or minimize.
