Guild Wars 2

As we all know the game download client doesn’t show the total game size/remaining size, I need to know how much I have to download.
I got very slow speed and to download this game I will take booster pack from my ISP but I searched all over the internet all information are too old many are of year 2012 so please tell me the game size of today date.
I would appreciate a faster reply, because I can’t wait to play this game

Approximately 16Gb.

My dat file is 19.7Gb

Mine is 17.7 – shouldn’t everyone’s dat file be the same size?

No, mine is quite a bit larger than ~16Gb as I have downloaded all updates since launch, and some files are not included in a new install, as they are no longer needed. Also, downloading other languages for the game will change the size of the file.

As someone who did a fresh install of the game yesterday, for me it’s 16,8GB

GW2.DAT

Size: 16.9GB (18,231,752,981)
Size on disk: 16.9GB (18,231,762,944)

Edit: Installed from DVD December 4th. Haven’t reinstalled.

Mine is:

Size: 18.6 GB (20,050,252,272 bytes)

Size on disk: 18.6 GB (20,050,255,872 bytes)

Mine is 16.9GB as well.
Higher file size may be related to having additional/alternate language packs downloaded.

Also, Orochimaru, it would be a very good idea for you to make a backup copy of your Gw2.dat file (and other gw2 files) elsewhere on your computer after you have finished updating. In the event you need to reinstall the game, having to re-download it all over again is highly undesirable.
