So if they don’t roll out a Mac fix tomorrow, I need a windows partition. Can anybody advise me in the best way to set this up?

Use the bootcamp manager.
As for how you install Windows – that’s going to depend on a couple of things.
Do you have a Windows installation disc? What mac do you have (specifically what year, what make, and does it have a disc drive).

I don’t have an installation disc.. I have a 2011-2012 full body iMac with 4 gigs of RAM and 500gb of hard drive space.

(Yes it has a disc drive.)

I assume you have the windows.iso on your computer though?
Are you able to burn it to a disc?

I’m not really sure what windows.iso is. I don’t claim to be computer savvy, so forgive my ignorance!

I’ll check out that link, thanks.

I’m not sure the reasons behind these questions, but I found download links to windows 7 ISOs.

Seems I’d still need a key, and I have no intention on buying windows just because of GW2’s shortcomings.

If that means I’m fubared, just let me know.

You must buy a license to run Windows if you plan on running GW2 on Windows.

Yup that means you’re fubared xD.
As Nageth points out you need a windows license to run it – Windows is not free.

That’s frustrating. All because they won’t fix nor optimize mac client.

I’d love my money back for the game since it is virtually unplayable in a pvp environment.

FUBAR = f***ed up beyond all recognition. I’m not so sure that applies here :P
how about SNAFU? (situation normal: all f***ed up)

you do need to buy windows in order to install it on bootcamp. your mac comes with the software to set up bootcamp, but you need a windows install (disc or flash drive or .iso) to install onto that bootcamp partition. many ways to get it; buy from microsoft, maybe a friend of yours has a copy?, etc. I’m not sure how it’s even available; do they have DRM? I’m too used to macs and how they give away their OS for free.
