Q:

I’m trying the Local.dat file located at “C:\Users\*\AppData\Roaming\Guild Wars 2” but it doesn’t seem to be the right one.
The reason I ask, is because I want to make 2 files of the options being held, that I can switch to and from. I’m using 2 accounts, and while I’m running both of them, the frame-rate and load times get stupendously large unless I’m running the game at practical minimum settings everywhere. I like to fine-tune settings for performance or graphics, and it usually takes me a while. Considering you can’t save presets for graphics, I instead want to just save the options from the file and swap them out when I need to, instead.

A:

%appdata%/Guild Wars 2/Local.dat is where your hardware settings are stored.

Documents/Guild Wars 2/Local.dat is an alternate location and if it exists, it will override the one in %appdata%.

%appdata%/Guild Wars 2/GFXSettings.Gw2.exe.xml will override your video settings.

All other account settings are stored by the server.

Update: I found another post at http://www.guildwars2guru.com/topic/36641-gw2-config-settings/ and the answer was that it’s located at “C:\Users\UserName\Documents\Guild Wars 2”
However, on my computer, the local.dat file doesn’t exist in that folder. These are the contents of that folder:
