I am having a very low FPS ,5-10FPS, in guild wars 2 even on LOW SETTING. I’m not sure why i’m lagging. These are my computer specs:

RAM:3GB
Grahpic Card:AMD Radeon HD 6800 Series
OS:Window XP
Computer:Pentium® Duel-Core CPU E5400 @ 2.70GHz

You need to clarify what you are talking about. Lag is a network latency problem where actions you make are not being accurately reflected in a timely maner. Low FPS is when your framerate drops because your computer is having problems rendering the game at a constant rate. Also, is it a constant problem or one that comes and goes?

Since you only have 3GB RAM, it’s possible that you’re running into issues where the game gets bogged down when you enter new areas and the computer has to do a lot of memory swapping/paging in order to load the new information.

Sry about my english and yes its a constant problem and I think it’s due to my FPS. Im able to play skyrim in high smoothly but i’m not sure why i am lagging in Guild Wars 2 even on low settings. Could you help me out?

You CPU is certainly the bottleneck. I don’t know where people are getting figures from for RAM usage, but even at peak usage Guild Wars 2 never uses more than 1.6GB of my 8GB total, I can imagine the problem would be running lots of other programs at the same time.

Unfortunately the game (as with other MMOs) is rather heavily CPU-bound, so you need a fairly decent processor to get a decent framerate.
