Guild Wars 2

I’ve tried searching the Guild Recruiting forums, and I constantly get no search results. I’ve even tried searching for words that I know are there in subjects and in posts… and still nothing. Is there some trick to making the search work? Or is it just a known problem with these forums?

It’s too bad, because in looking for a guild, I’d really like to search for simple things like the server I’m on, the style of the guild (PVE, PVX, etc.), the atmosphere of the guild (casual, expert, etc.), and so on.

True. Doesn’t work for me either when I try to search for tech issues I’m facing.

You can use google to limit your search results to a specific site. For example, if you wanted to search for a casual pve guild, search for:

casual pve site:forum-en.guildwars2.com/forum/guilds/recruitment

The search hasn’t worked since launch :P

Ironically the search function in the German forums work. It’s really ridiculous, since more than 14 months now the search funcion is completely broken and there is no fix.

The search function in the german forums doesn’t work either. It gives you results, sometimes, but the results are random and most of the time have nothing to do with what you searched.

For example, if you search for “und” (german word for “and”), which is contained in about every post, you only get a small selection of posts of a thread. Sometimes even one-liners without “und”, while other posts with “und” are missing.
It’s probably the same in every language subforum.
