my pc spec: i7-4770k + gtx970

and i attached my graphics option

when i change shaders to medium from high, it should be change it to normal.

what is the problem?

A : Another crappy NVidia driver release maybe ?
B : an internal error in your GW2.dat → user repair
C: hardware error.

Just to add in to this, I’m getting the same thing, set shaders to medium and it’s all good. Was playing last night and everything was fine. Only things I’ve done are
1) Defragged my hard drive
2) Turned on 3d.

I have just turned off 3d and that fixed my issue. I don’t suppose you’re also running 3d are you? I notice your refresh rate is set to 60 so I doubt it.

If your HD is having sector issues, defragging it could corrupt the DAT file and it needs to be repaired (and you should investigate possible HD failure).

I have an update to this exact same issue, Its Nividia they automatically installed a 3D controller, and a 3D driver into your machine with the latest update. its makes it impossible to turn off the 3d form the graphics option in game you have to go to control panel—> programs and features, and uninstall each of them.

I froze my game running 5760×1080 that’s when i felt something was fishy and the black floor lead me to this post.
