Q:
Will I be able to handle Guild Wars 2?
A:
HD 4000 is very playable on low/med settings depending on resolution. Try it out since it is integrated. You can always get a dedicated GPU later if it doesn’t fit your needs.
The only exclusive skyhammer stream
Back again, (you’re probably going to be seeing me on forums a lot) I was just wondering what kind of settings I would get if I were to get:
Processor: Intel Ivy Bridge Core i5 3570K
Ram: 3+ GB
GPU: Integrated Intel HD 4000I know that really isn’t much information, but I was just wanting a ball park of what settings I would be getting in the game. Would it be able to go up to medium resolution? I’ve also attached a picture of the comparison I’m doing. On the left is my current computer, yeah I know it’s horrible lol, and to the right is what I’m going to get. My budget can’t really go that high so if you do make a suggestion I hope, in terms of processors and GPU, it doesn’t go over $300-400.
Well you can play and thats it HD 4000 is perty much a game killer. Is this US $ and what is your budget, and what all do you need, can you reuse your old HDD, CD/DVD drive are they SATA, PC case, do you need a operating system, and what is your monitor rez?
EDIT just noticed its a LT so just a simple no.

No harm meant but with the current way this game is handling end-game rigs.. not at all.
Oh my gosh apparently I was way too broad hahah! How is that a game killer? Yes, this is US dollars, my budget is gonna be a max of $400 or so (yeah ik it’s low but it’s really all I can say for now), and I just want to be able to have 30-40 Fps in the game with Medium graphics/settings, and I guess I can reuse my HDD ( I am so not tech savy), I don’t know if they are SATA, PC case?, no I do not need a specific operating system I have that down, and my resolution is 1366 × 768
I read that Intel HD 4000 can handle the graphic demand as long as it’s low or medium settings, but I wanted to be sure and I wanted suggestions.
Well I haven’t bought any of the upgrades yet cause I want to make sure I’m making the right decision. My resolution is 1366 × 768, and that is great news! I honestly just want to make it to medium graphics/settings.
You can actually push some things higher as well if you run at 1024..

You mean my resolution?
Sooo…what components will you need to buy, exactly? It’s kind of difficult to help you if we don’t know :/
I suppose you can reuse your case, your HDD,…maybe some of your RAM?
Not sure if this helps, but from what I understand GW2 seems to be a very CPU dependant game. I know a few people with GTX660 graphics cards that have FPS and lag issues, but they have sub par CPU. I have a pretty good CPU with a sub par GPU and experience no issues.

Well I said it at the very top lol a new processor, a RAM upgrade, and a new graphics card. Again, I’m hoping to achieve low to medium settings in the game.
