Q:
Will and when the low fps will be fix?
low fps due to your system specs, graphics settings? Most systems get good fps depending on the system. Obviously if you have a lower end system and try to set your gfx to high then your fps are going to suck.
i have high system i allready post a topic about the problem i get 30-80 fps.
in all new games i get 80+ fps in ultra settings

hrmm indeed odd. Perhaps driver issues maybe? I get 30 fps and my gfx card is a 6850 on medium settings with shadows off. No clue. My system is custom built and about 2.5 years old
None of my friends complain. Even friends with 3 or more year old systems. Admittedly some people have had serious fps issues, but some of them tracked it down to a problem on their system.
It might help to post the details of what you are experiencing.

The only exclusive skyhammer stream
A: Not anytime soon (that is why the don’t even bother to answer this posts, or trying to explain the issue to the comunity), is a complicated issue. May be if they are smart enough, will address part of the problem within the next game expansion (if they actually wanna sell copies of that). But i wouldn’t be surprised if the problem never gets fixed tbh, just live with it, wait for 2 CPU generations and u will be ready to play the way it meant to be played.

wonder what the moderator edited out of your post.

Mmmmm i don’t see any difference, it is not insulting or anything, just plain truth, don’t see why would they edit it, may be a grammar problem?

I think Q17 is our main problem right now, for various reasons.
- First off, I’ve been playing since day 1, having a steady 50 FPS in most parts of the world until this build (now it’s a whooping 10-20FPS no matter where I am).
- Second, Gw2.exe usually use 300-400k memory, but now it’s up to 700k.
- And even people with amazing computers lag in this game, but not in other games requiring powerful gaming-computers to even run properly.
I’ve tried restarting, defragmenting, using the -repair command and even deleting the Local.dat file (which fixed other bugs, but not the lag).
EDIT: Managed to fix the issue. Guess I had to find the custom driver-update for my laptop. Everything’s fine by now.

Can we stop having people telling us it’s a problem from us? Because all you guys are really doing here is accusing us for doing something wrong and bashing us.
I have had fine fps with the same pc(i5 3570k and 5850 1g @ 1680×1050), but it decreased to 10ish fps couple months ago when this problem first emerged. It was fixed a week later when the patched rerolled back something but screwed again after another few patches and the game is still unplayable for me now. Latest drives and the suggested setting adjustments from the sticker didn’t help btw.
We could and should run the game at acceptable fps but we aren’t. All we are asking is for the programmers to fix it so we can play the game like we could and should.

Frame drops from a solid 60 to 10-15 at best after 10 minutes, using a GTX 660TI and AMD 8350 FX with 8GB Ram.
Tried updating drivers, playing with NVIDIA control panel settings and Guild wars 2 settings, the problem continues to persist even at the very lowest settings.

That makes it sound like something is happening that’s causing the GPU clock to be throttled down. That usually happens whe it gets too hot or when another program overrides the 3D clock speed. Have you tried increasing your GPU fan speed to see if that will keep it cooler? Do you have a utility that will allow you to monitor the GPU clock while GW2 is running so you can see if the speed is actually changing?

This bothers me also…
I appreciate all those helpful tips (more or less) from (self-proclaimed) HW/Performance freaks.
But this issue has nothing to do with any kind of User-generated problems.
It’s a pitty that these people can’t distinguish between “performance sucks” and "game ran well, now it sucks*
There are many threads like asafy’s, f.e.

Go on, tell all of these people it’s there fault
the engeine gw2 using is an improvment of gw1 right?
so my gess it was wrong thing to do and they should have built a new engeine or use the new unreal engeinge.
GW2 doesn’t use Unreal Engine (if it did, my interest in the game would of dropped drastically; I hate PhysX’s implementation and horrible CPU performance). I’m almost positive that GW1 doesn’t use Unreal Engine either.
As for this FPS issue, I’m hearing that GW2 seems to prefer higher clock speeds over core quantity, since it seems singlethreaded. So this should mean that I should go from my 3.3GHz quad core, to 3.6GHz triple-core?

have you read what i have posted?

unreal engeinw is much better and good

I just re-read what you said, my misunderstanding. In any case though, I would prefer.. GW2’s current state over Unreal Engine.
Well a couple of months ago i bought a new gaming pc and so far i’ve played guild wars on highest settings with a high fps rate and I haven’t played since halloween and then it was good fps but now my fps in lions arch is about 10-20 on highest graphic and about 20-30 on best performance, in wvw its about 20-30 on highest and in wayfarer hills it was normal (about 50-90) on highest graphic. I have no idea why this is happening i’ve actually never had lag in lions arch before
i really donno why they arent trying to fix it
