Guild Wars 2

I recently purchased a new computer that runs windows 10. After downloading Gw2, I went to run it and get an error message saying “Guild Wars 2 Client has stopped working”. I looked up solutions to this problem and for a lot of people it seemed to only be in the earlier stages of windows 10. I tried reinstalling Gw2 and repairing the files like those older threads said, but none of it worked. Anyone know what I can do?

Oh no you’re scaring me… I’m also purchasing a new computer, waiting to be arrive, it will be Window 10, so does that mean it won’t work with GW2??

you should be fine just make sure everything is up to date… don’t forget to update drivers and stuff!

What antivirus are you using some AVs detect GuildWars as a virus or malicious software because of the way it downloads and connect to the Internet it resembles a bit torrent so to fix it try disabling your AV till you get it all installed and everything is going good. If by any chance you are using Norton’s dump it get something else like Avast or Windows Security Essentials.

Download the 64bit client and run it in Win 7 compatibility.
