Windows 10 Compatible?
It will be compatible, but you will not get any extra performance out of directx12.

For gaming windows 7 is best it beat win8 with some nanoseconds…
Windows 10 is still in beta i had a friend with win 10 he vent back to win7 cuz of bugs
also the infamous blue screen of death from nothing.
With the latest build (10130) there is some sort of memory leak which makes the graphics driver crash everytime you open any panel.
So i would wait a while longer :P

Uhhh… this game is still on DirectX 9! Literally any change should boost performance, since it’s built on an API that was designed for Windows XP.
So, will we be getting DirectX 12 support, by any chance? Blizzard said that several of their games might be updated to DX12 in the near future, depending on the adoption rate of Windows 10 (they didn’t say which games.) GW2 could definitely use an update to its engine. It honestly needed to be updated years before GW2 was even released; even now, this game can bring a $10,000 PC to its knees, giving 15 FPS or less even in starter zone events like the Svanir Shaman event.

Very few people have computers that are DX12 compatible. It would be a waste of money for them to spend all of their resources making the game DX12 compatible. DX11 sure, FFXIV just did that, but DX12 is incredibly unlikely.

Really? Are you sure about that?
DX12 will be compatible with — at the very least — all DX11 hardware, and perhaps even all hardware that currently exists. Only some features — some advanced special features — will be for DX12 specific cards only.
Most people playing GW2 today are using DX11 compatible GPUs, no?

i would not say that. DX 12 probably has the same hardware requirements as vulkan. Right now, vulkan is targetting gpu that are opengl es 3.1 compliant.
I just upgraded to Windows 10 and it won’t run guildwars2. I just says this app can’t run on your PC. To find a compatible version contact the software publisher…

Just to compare, I also just upgraded to W10 yesterday and haven’t had a problem with gw2 (fingers crossed it stays that way.) Am running it on a laptop that isn’t exactly the newest or best and tbh I’m surprised I haven’t had any problems with the drivers or anything but I’m not complaining. Maybe it is a driver issue?
I could not get GW2 to start in Win 10 native, even though it ran fine in the technical preview. I had to right-click the program and choose “Test Compatibility”. From there I could set it in Windows 8 mode and it worked.
Running Windows 10 here – no issues at all with GW2.
Runs without problems here even on a fresh installed Win 10 (no update) without
downloadinfg / installing of extra drivers.
Installed however the latest ATI drivers after the first tests.
Best MMOs are the ones that never make it. Therefore Stargate Online wins.
GW2 does not work with my Windows 10 upgrade… unless I run it in Windows 8 compatibility mode. I wonder if this stops the game from utilizing DirectX 12? I hope not….
This game uses DirectX 9, so that will have no effect.
