Q:
Windows 7 32-bit crashes constantly
I had to re-load OS on my desktop. (Prior to re-install GW2 was working just fine.) My fault ordered wrong Win7 (32-bit instead of 64-bit). Reloaded GW2 and it is basically unplayable. Hit “M” for world map is a guaranteed freeze/crash- essentially any waypoint/ map crossing will cause a fatal crash. Staying on a single map seems a bit more stable – could be minutes or hour+ before a fatal crash. My laptop – 64bit Win7 has none of these issues. I have deleted GW2 and re-installed again to the same effect
This would be an issue addressed in Tech Support. There are many threads, with Dev answers about the 32-bit issue. They have some work-arounds. Something to do with memory, if I remember correctly. You can find the threads over in the Tech Support sub-forum. Good luck.
Just get the 64 bit windows install DVD, ask around if someone has it you can borrow, or download it. As long as you have your own genuine license key it will work on both the 32 or 64bit version. You just need to make sure the flavor is right like Windows home premium.
put the correct term in but not everyone has kittens

^^^^^^ This.
I know of somebody that uses a Cyberpower disc to load the operating system to get the free version of MS word and excel on every PC he builds just for a added bonus to the customers and activates it with the new disc code.
