Guild Wars 2

Had to completely wipe my HD from a \boot error so I now need to reinstall the game.

I put in the CD, go to Computer, and right-click.

Game begins to load the initial 10,000kb, then stops. I found that it at least wrote the GW2 folder and .dat file, but nothing else.

Why does it just shut off and not continue to load off the CD? Does the same if I try to download off the website.

I’m set as administrator, so that should not be a problem.

I’m using windows 7 and i have no problem at all!
1) Try disabling user account control (UAC from control panel —-> users) to never notify just for this to see if that is causing the error!
2) Maybe its the DVD fault! if it doesn’t work try downloading the game through the site? go to my account, download client!

I installed new drivers for my vid card, and voila! Suddenly I’m able to reload the game from the CD.

Makes no sense at all, but whatever.
