Windows 8, severe graphics corruption after last patch

Description: Severe graphics corruption, fragmenting, and instability after last patch. Inability to screenshot it as it crashes and produces a black screen. After about 2-3 minutes, textures that were loaded would become unloaded, unresponsive, from the haze in the background leaving a perminent outline of the treeline and sky that stays and could be shown against the sky, to the text above mobs and players heads(nameplates), down to models of the characters or mobs or buildings, or trees surrounding going black. happens at a set time of about 2 minutes of loading the game. Only affects GW2. MW3, WoW, SWTOR are running without this corruption.
What I tried:
1. Updated graphics card to the latest beta drivers
2. Restarted computer
3. Tested other games to ensure it wasn’t a dying graphics card
4. Used -repair, didn’t find anything corrupted.
5. Lowered all graphics settings as low as I could before the corruption made me inable to see the settings.
Short of reinstalling the game, Dunno what to do. Maybe this is an incompatibility with Windows 8? Didn’t see anyone else in the last 5ish pages mention anything similar happening to them after today’s patch. I was running the game fine an hour before patch, Boyfriend spent the rest of the night playing WoW, then an hour ago, I downloaded the GW2 patch, and saw the unplayable corruption.
I have the crash dump text saved, if it’s needed, I only crash when I try to take a screenshot.
I’m running specifically an AMD 5770, 18 gigs ram, with an i7-2700k, 3.50ghz quad core on Windows 8 Consumer Preview build 8250. Any help with this would be awesome.
Edit: just tried Frapsing the corruption, again another crash. Can fraps all I want on WoW and other, more graphically demanding games.

Managed to just get screenshots of this:
http://i.imgur.com/ia3Zw.jpg shows the text corruption in both the chat channel as well as over mob’s heads, as well as on all the settings. This is the same with anything that as text.
http://i.imgur.com/ozqMe.jpg further goes into the sillhouetting that’s happening when it seems like certain portions of rendering fails, how the sillhouettes of trees can be seen in the sky, etc, as if the natural fogging is broken.
Eventually if I run around like that, I start running into invisible or black platforms and buildings. It is in no way a playable form at the moment.

Seem to have fixed the issue: Last patch did something that rendered normal ATI drivers on Windows 8 incompatable with GW2, UNLESS you are running the AMD windows 8 preview drivers. After removing the previous drivers and restarting my computer, I installed the AMD Catalyst Windows 8 preview drivers from: http://support.amd.com/us/kbarticles/Pages/Windows8ConsumerPreviewDrivers.aspx
No more fragmenting or weird text, or hovering sillhouettes.

hi there, release preview has been out for several months.
your running a beta operating system and want support…..it’s a beta operating system for a reason and you want support when only a hand full of people have even tried to trouble shoot problems on that operating system with games.
windows 8 forums is a good website but they will say the same thing, why are you expecting stable gaming on a beta operating system, and not even the release preview at that.

Yo, it might not be the best idea to be trolling in the support forum. Besides the point. As you didn’t seem to read, I fixed the issue myself after a bit of research, and put up what fixed it for me, so that others who have the issues can see it, and fix it. Reformating and putting on the Release preview is not an option for me at the moment.
If a moderator could lock this, that’d be great.
