Hey guys,

I’ve got a strange bug. For reference, I’m using 2 GTX 580s in SLI.

Screenshots describe it best:

The interesting thing is that it only happens on “Native” rendering. On Subsample and Supersample, the game is fine. I’d prefer to run on Native, as Subsample looks pretty low quality, but Supersample raises my GPU heat up to 90 C.

Anyone know how to fix?

I can confirm this but do not have a solution. I just switched to super sample for the time being. It seems more and more things are being broken than fixed. :\

EDIT: Noticed OP is using SLI, I myself am using this. Anyone else getting this WITHOUT the use of SLI or X-fire?

Have you updated to the latest nvidia drivers (the most recent ones)….I had the same problem after the driver update. When I rolled back to the last ones I used, it fixed the problem. I run the game with a single GTX 580.

So, perhaps it’s something related to some of the new antI-aliasing methods Nvidia introduced with the new drivers that GW2 doesn’t like.

Try rolling your drivers back.

Turn off any nvidia specific graphics settings and only use the game settings and see if that helps?

In particular ambient occlusion. None of the nvidia drivers have it working yet. I’m running tri-sli 580’s (306.23) and haven’t seen this happen once.

That 90c is ok at 100% load, but if not, look into better case ventillation.

I have this problem myself, very annoying!

Running a single card, nVidia GTX680, latest WHQL drivers.
Game works well at Supersampling though.

Having the same prob too. Also using using SLI and only began after updating to the latest Nvidia driver.

So the only fix is to roll back?

You have to disable ambient occlusion through the driver settings. This resolved it for me.
