Hi,
I wanted to buy the 3 harvesting tools (1 for each kind) but I’ve just made a mistake and bought accidentally the Tireless Harvesting Minion instead of the Tireless Logging Minion, after i did already purchase the Fused Molten Sickle.
I logged off immediately and already contacted the support to ask if the item (Tireless Harvesting Minion) could be changed to the one i wanted to buy (Tireless Logging Minion), but since they are a time limited offer and i could receive a negative answer after the offer will be decayed i’d like to know from experience of others players (or a well informed mod/dev/support) what is likely to happen from the policies applied to gem purchased items, so i can decide if to waste some more money for the gems to buy the item i already wanted to buy in time before the offer will effectively decay (and i don’t know this date), or if i can wait in hope for the support to answer me and change the item for me.
I miss from this game for nearly 2 years so i’m not well informed on policies and what is going on, i just wanted to start again after i heard the news of the rumoured expansion.

Open an In-Game ticket and explain the mistake. the first time they will say they cant/wont due to the nature of gem purchases. You’ll get a questioner as a followup to your ticket being closed, be sure to give them a proper rating. Then you’ll get your gem reimbursement.
Its what I had to do when my Nephew jumped on my laptop while I was in the shower and be bought a Character slot with out permission.
Personally, I hate Anet’s reimbursement policy, else I wouldn’t even tell you about this. But the fact that I have been on these forums since launch helping other players and never asked Anet for anything. Then the one time I asked for a little help on this mistake and to be refused like that, THEN for them to give me the reimbursement after I gave them a very poor review still doesn’t sit right with me.

You do not need to open an in-game ‘ticket’ as that is only a Bug Report, and would not be routed to the appropriate team.
The CS Team often replaces the mistakenly-purchased item with the item of choice. They are almost always accommodating with an issue such as this.
