Hi, my friend’s account just got permanently banned today for suspected gold buying/selling in exchange for real money.

I am here to say that that was entirely not the case. He found an item in which sold for quite an amount of gold but he didn’t have have enough gold to list it on the trading post. So i gave him the gold…and we agreed that we would split it.

We are close friends and we play together all the time….so i feel bad that my friend cant play now….we bought the game together with two of our other friends in hopes that we could play together and enjoy the game together….now that he can’t play…we also feel like not playing anymore….

You guys have a great game…..we paid good money for it and we would really like to play it together again….hope u guys could fix his problem as soon as possible so we could continue on enjoying the great game that u guys created….^_^

Apparently I was playing with Creatos and Jesyxz when he got banned out of nowhere.
Also, I’ve been reading around the forums and this seems to be quite the common case.

We bought and play the game together, so now until jesxyz gets unbanned, I don’t think the rest of us would be playing.. and that is just a good waste of holiday time for us Q__Q

We don’t really get a lot of time to enjoy games with each other like this anymore, with university and work and what not.

Hope this gets resolved asap. Would be extremely awesome if someone could solve this over christmas

Kinda speechless tbh, because he doesn’t own a lot of gold, and his only transactions would be via the gem store. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

2-3 days ago Cirer lent 100g to guildmate Sylvanwood.2746 which was immediately returned. I believe Anet can check records on Sylvanwood as well.

Same issue, i have several friends that i play with and yes we know each other very well and just now my friend with

account name Dan.5801

lends gold to our poorer members of course gets paid back by installments that other members can afford he of all the people in our guild has invested the most time in your game and he’s usually one of the most cautious players when dealing with stuff like this please resolve this issue, and please check your records because he only does lend out gold in our small guild and he farms all that legit by himself. All of us in our guild are friends irl and we’d hate to see someone, especially one who works as hard as he does get treated like this. Regards

Apparently I’ve been told by Gaile Grey that trading gold doesn’t get you banned. So what makes it RMT if there is only a trade in gold? How is real money being detected in this trade? I don’t get it. Cause if it was the case, how are these people appealing and successfully getting unbanned?
