Hey there,

A friend of mine just started to play gw2 a few days ago.
But i wasent there to tell him wich server he needed to choose..
Now he is on Gunnars Hold and i am on Blackgate.. :s

Is there maybe a way that he can get a transfer to Blackgate ? without paying for it..

He was so excited that he couldnt wait to play the game..

I don’t know if i need to contact support for this or not?

Think you can delete all toons and re-select a server once account is empty? Not so sure though

Yeah. If a person deletes all their characters they can transfer to any non full server in the same region (North America or Europe). Don’t have any soulbound items in the bank. If the character is gone, you can’t take them out or delete them.

Your wrong on two points Astral. When deleting all characters you can transfer from NA to EU or from EU to NA, just as in a paid transfer. You can delete soulbound items in the bank if you dont have that character any longer. Just drag the item outside the bank window. In some cases you have to type the name of the item, but it will be destroyed.

Oh? I thought you could only get on a server from where you bought the game. The other one was from a thread where a guy deleted a character then said he couldn’t delete a soulbound item in the bank. Oh well, good to know. :-)

The guy I’m thinking of wanted to salvage the item – which you can’t as the item has to be outside the bank to salvage, and soul bound items can’t be removed except on the bound character.

And the only region restrictions are on guesting (due to how it works and the fact that EU and NA severs are in separate data centers) and that when you create an account, you must be using an IP that matches the “zone” of the account key (which doesn’t matter once you can log in)
