I need help my account has been hacked and I can’t log in I am 700 miles from home and can not get to my key code to file for recovery. What do I do to stop my account from being kitten d and how can someone log in and steal my account with email notification,I thought that if your account was signed into from a different address Arenanet sent you an email and I never received any notice. So what now????

You need to contact CS immediately, and discuss the issue with them. If possible, change your passwords now. Email and game. Run scans to secure your computer, then change your passwords, again.

I can sign into the forum and account but can’t sign into game the restore window pops up and when I try to restore it won’t let me with out my key code. I was able to sign into here and change password but when I try to sign into game I still get restore window and can’t do anything with out key and it’s 700 miles away and no one there to look it up for me. I can access everything but my game even old tickets I filed but no game. If I have too I can wait till I’m home in 2 weeks but how do I get the dev’s to put hold on my account before everything I have worked for 2 years to achieve is gone.

CS = customer support
I would suggest that you file a ticket immediately and you can also post in the account support forum
Of course you need to change your passwords immediately (for E-mail as well)

can’t think that they will ever ask for your serial- I seem to recall that they said they never ask for your details- sorry but can’t remember from when last they fixed an account issue for me

Don’t post multiple times here as that does no good. Certainly don’t submit more than one CS ticket or that will just slow down the process. It may take 72 hours to get an actual response (but you should get an automated confirmation eamil very soon after submitting the ticket).

Keep in mind if your email account has been compromised a hacker could quickly delete ANet response emails….I suggest you change your email account password immediately.
