I have the game on a ssd drive installed and all this time i had like 2-3 secs max loading screens.
After last patch i have so slow loading screens!like 7 seconds and sometimes i have to alt+F4.
Anyone else have the same problame?
Its same on standard HDD. I saw even this loading delay on cutscenes when you talk with npc (face to face) in hero story quests (talk shows up after 2-4 sec in compare with “before patch”). Same on creating character when you wanna choose profession.
Same. Using an SSD, since the patch my loading screen time has roughly tripled.
Edit: Seems to be affecting personal story cutscenes as well. Will be a blank background for about 10 seconds before the hero and NPC will show up and begin talking.
Yes it is quite noticable. I spent 20 min. checking my settings. I thought something was wrong with my machine.
Too bad others see this but glad I’m not alone.
Not only slower loads, but I logged on with 40-45 fps in LA, logged out to do some chores, came back and logged in two hours later and had 13 fps in LA. It’s been that way ever since. What is going on?
I’m running on a Crucial M4 SSD and have noticed that load times seem insanely slow now. Not sure what happened, since I specifically installed on an SSD to reduce load times.
They have always been slow for me yet noticed the increase too. Just then logged into game, character selection screen loads instantly then to load into LA took over a minute. Changing zones is similar and becoming increasingly annoying.
Gw2 is running on a 7200rpm HD/C drive, which is regularly defragged and has plenty of free space.
There are no problems with other games, video editing or 3D.
Do they really expect everyone to be running SSD’s and Nvidia 6 series cards to play this game?
Same for me. I’ve always had slow load times (for no apparent reason, the game was otherwise fine.) On a standard HDD, I’ve gone from approximately 1 minute loading into Lion’s Arch to 7 minutes! NPCs take an absolute age to phase into view, too, and an inordinate amount of time to interact with. This patch has definitely slowed things down massively.
