Hi Tarwada,
We have a thread about low FPS with input from players and possible solutions. Please feel free to check it at this URL

Thanks
i will check this post out, then i will return back to here, thank you !
dude is my laptop is good for this game ?
In all honesty ..
laptop =/= good performance gaming.
Even with an i7 cpu, its still a ‘slow’ i7 cpu when it comes to mmo’s.
Now it could just be your laptop isnt good enough.. but its also highly likely your just having compatability issues with GW2 ..which is causing many people with diferent rigs some greif currently.
Anet is working to patch GW2 to sort out some performance issues, you may get lucky and find it fixed after a patch.
EVGA GTX 780 Classified w/ EK block | XSPC D5 Photon 270 Res/Pump | NexXxos Monsta 240 Rad
CM Storm Stryker case | Seasonic 1000W PSU | Asux Xonar D2X & Logitech Z5500 Sound system |
So all what i got to do is waiting a patch :/
Ok thanks
What resolution is your screen? If it’s 1920×1080, turn off AA in the game options.
Also turn off reflections and shadows, as well high res character textures.

Ok thanks
Your laptop is slow. A patch is not going to fix a slow laptop, sorry.

gamebooster will help you out by reducing the number of programs you don’t need running in the background. I reccomend checking out the program. I had it on my desktop to help it run Guild Wars 2 better. Saw 30% performance increase. Of course – my desktop is about 8 years old and I just got a new laptop last week.

Game Booster. It’s free and the last version is 3.4.0. It’s not guaranteed that it’s going to improve your computer performances but you can give it a try.
a dolyak machine with gamebooster is still, well, a dolyak

/Agreed, gamebooster only works if your system is loaded with crap/spyware/adware/malware. If your cpu usage idling in Windows doing nothing is 0-10% then gamebooster wil do absolutely ZERO. If your cpu usage is >10% while doing nothing in windows gamebooster MAY give you 1-2 more FPS.
Strong placebo effects are also common with gamebooster.

Rightclick your Gw2 shortcut -> Compatibility -> Disable Visual Effects and Desktop blah blah (dont know how it’s called on an english win7 client)
First, what is “slow”? Without proper FPS readings we can not tell you if it is normal or not. Laptops are not gaming platforms, and the reason people get them is because the name of the parts are the same and they don’t understand a laptop i7 is NOT the same as a desktop i7, the same can be said for the GPU’s in them as well, they are nothing like and not even in the same league as the desktop counter parts. This game is limited in most cases by CPU speed, and laptop i7s are very low clocked, so that’s going to hurt you right there, also, in the screens it is showing that the iGPU as the video card and not the AMD GPU, granted this is probably not under load and might have power saving on which switched back. So check and make sure under load in the game it is using the AMD GPU and not the iGPU on the intel CPU.
Laptops are made for portability and not game performance not matter what the marketing says. Patches won’t solve your problems.
Try turning off shadows/reflections/best texture filtering/AA. Those eat up performance and the game still looks great without them. After that, try lowering shaders. Texture quality is only a problem when there are a lot of players on screen. Most of the other options give decent increases in performance without lowering image quality(except shaders) that much.
If you want to get hands on, turn every setting to its lowest and then play a bit while slowly turning up one option at a time to see any differences in image quality and FPS.
