Guild Wars 2

interesting, i recently came back to the game and this issue has been with me every step of the way.

When i first bought this game my system was
e8500 (cooled with a freezer pro 7)
tpower i45
4gb ddr 2 800
1.5tb hdd
700w psu
2 × 4850s 1gb xf
the above was running on a 800fsb on a overclock of 3.8ghz. the thing was a rock and was up till 2 weeks ago. it ran every game at max at 1080p and i never had any problems with temps or unstable oc.

apart from GW2 that is… random times i would get a blackscreen total game crash and would need a restart of the whole computer. it would either be a black screen or the monitor would just turn off.

gfx or drivers was my suspect… i checked all stable drivers from 11.0 upwards …. i ran cpu and memory tests for 12 hours to check for over heating… i ruled everything out apart from gfxs or the game..

so i decided to shelve the game untill i sort my graphics out…

now forward …
new computer
fx 8320
990fx sabertooth asus
8gb 1600mhz ddr3
2tb storage
7850 2gb

total reformat.. new drivers… new computer is everyway
same problem. i can play for 5 mins and crash, i can play for 6 hours then crash. the only common factor i’ve found is i’m always in combat and i’m always near death.
it either crashes on the fatal blow, or it crashes afterwards but before i can resurec

i’ve encounced this problem also on both windows 7 and windows 8.

i did a search and older threads came up, with no clear answer’s ..

and i also lowered my sound quality too to rule that one out also.

i’m really not sure what else i can try :/

Is it a COMPLETELY different system? what I mean to ask is…did you transfer any components at all from the old pc to the new pc?

Read my post about crash fix, gotta be worth a try. I was getting a crakitten least once a day.

Have you tested out deleting the local.dat file under my documents/guild wars 2?

Also, if you could post your crash log, it might help.
