I purchased the game yesterday as part of the ongoing sale, I received my conformation e-mail and downloaded the launcher but after that have not been able to get anywhere.

every time I try and attempt to run the launcher I get the same thing, it may run for a few seconds or may run for minutes at a time but it always degrades to a rate of 0kbs for no reason. I have attempted to restart, I have directed the download to the site as the dns could not do so, have checked for packet loss and found none and have attempted to use a disk that I had access too that also changed nothing and lastly attempted to use the beta installer to see if that may change my luck.

This makes two tickets since I purchased the game yesterday.

Change your DNS to Google DNS: 8.8.8.8 worked for me.

its sad that its this hard to download a game. I’ve been searching all day and it seems to be a common problem. The only responses to fixing it is large amount of changes with you port forwarding and such. I’ve disabled my firewall and it didn’t work. I don’t feel like i need to change all these settings to play one game when there is tons of others that don’t make it this hard to play.

I am using Google’s DNS. Both 8.8.8.8 and 8.8.4.4 for IPv4, and 2001:4860:4860::8888 and 2001:4860:4860::8844 for IPv6.

The issue is not in the resolver, it’s in the stalling of the data stream. The client is sending retransmit requests more often than it gets any data.

Having the same issue, launcher is stuck Downloading 0KB/sec

My brother has been trying to log in for hours and it is stuck at 0KB/sec

Has anyone found a solution for this?

Still having issues with mine tried changing the DNS restarting redownloading cleaning out the file in roaming nothing

same issue, have tried nearly everything. funny thing is that im also from michigan and use comcast.

I wonder if it’s due to a giant influx of new users trying to download at the same time (aka just wait until later to download)?

yeah i waited and was finally able to start downloading now its finally installing the game

I’m really stumped with the installer too. It’s doing the last file, already done about 2GB, but still on 0%. My *.dat file is about 20.5GB, which looks to be average. I must’ve downloaded 33GB of stuff though!

I’ve rebooted my PC, power cycled my router, repaired, but its still giving me 0%.

I was literally told to buy a new computer by support staff because of this issue.

I was just going to post that I solved it with the help of a reddit post. The link from Inculpatus cedo.9234 is correct. I used -assetsvr “62.154.232.105” on my shortcut and it worked. Check http://gw2status.de/ for different IPs.
