There is a message at the bottom of the mail stating it was sent by another player. Thus, if you did click on the link, you would be entering a phishing website, and giving all your account information to some nefarious individual.
Report and delete.
Read any number of the other threads on this that are littering up these boards despite official stickies about this all over the place.
I get the exact same garbage in my mail (outside the game) every once in a while… and actually I used it in my Bachelor’s Thesis when I talked about phishing mails… so I guess that they helped me to get my degree XD
Just report it and delete. Messages sent by ArenaNet have their logo.
Got yer standard report, block and delete protocol there. Also avoid Rata Sum if you get a lot of these. I seem to get the gold selling PMs a lot when I log into character I’ve parked in Rata Sum. :S
