The default “quit” command (cmd-Q) is bad for MMO play. I frequently find myself accidentally quitting while I try to maneuver.

Other clients have changed the quit command to cmd-opt-Q to prevent accidental quitting. It works out MUCH better.

You can alter this yourself by going to System Preferences -> Keyboard -> Shortcuts. Click the plus sign to alter an application of your choice and select the command you’d like to alter, and then enter the new command.

No way. You can change it as Crescendoll said (and it would be perfectly valid to have the GW2 client have a direct option for changing this, like Chrome I think does), but it’s pretty important to keep the proper defaults.
