Guild Wars 2

I have over a week this problem and i don’t know what i have to do to solve it. at the first screen says “connection error detected. retrying…”
I don’t have any firewalls to block me and i didn’t install any programs. I’m running windows XP…
Any help could be useful

Both my wife and I are experencing this error while trying to update the game client. No error code, just the message.

I too have this issue. Kinda happy to see it’s not just me.

same here im guessing its just an issue with servers being flooded with everyone trying to get back in

its a new update. but its not updating. just keeps losing connection. I know my connection is fine because i was just playing as they started the update.

It’s the Flame and Frost patch, if you let it sit on the retry screen it will eventually start downloading Loads of people updating.

same here, keeps on desconnecting with an error message “Connection error(s). Retrying…”, and i was one event short to complete daily -_-

There’s so many people trying to update the client that it’s lagging for everyone. Just be patient and wait it out.

i have it too after 10% of downloadin the patch. Frustrating…

same problem here. I don’t know if it’s the too many people trying to update though because never happened to me before. Unless I got lucky the other times.

Came to ask whether it would eventually start on its own if I left the client open instead of restarting. Thanks for that!

No Problem Babylon! I left mine sit for about 5 minutes or more and it let me login “finally” lmao. Now just waiting on that darned update to go thru >.<

This is annoying…it was downloading the patch fine, then suddenly comes up with the error sigh

it can happen WHEN you downloading the patch, it ill restart at some point tho…

I was able to get the patch, but it wont launch after that. I assume because of the droves of people patching and trying to re-enter the game. Ah well, nice time to sit with the dogs and wait a bit. Pretty day outside.

i think its due to guild wars server , not anyone connection. It makes more sense, that there connection is cut off or overcroweded, then are connection. Be patient, it will come back up.

Mine just restarted as well BLAH…. Maybe i’ll go have a smoke and order some food from the pizza shop >.<

high chance is that daily will be reset anyway so…

These guys must have a pretty bad system to keep getting this…never had this with any other games even for large patches :o

Yup same here. Tried restarting the client and all sorts. My internet is fine, it is not blocked by any firewall. Great timing for me… work in the morning and bed calls very shortly without my daily finished.

Mine starts up occasionally with D/L speeds anywhere between 1.5Mb/s and zero or the connection error pops up again for a bit. Patience looks like the medicine.

If we all lost the connection … lets try to look for some real one

unfortunately, this seems to not just be a “lag” thing…i keep getting dc’d while downloading. -.- and after it dc’s while downloading…it wont pick back up apparently.
