Guild Wars 2

been trying to login all day and this is what i been geting when i click on the game exe.
: connection error(s) detected. retrying…
dont see any post on it. is it just me and it says it on my 2 comps same message.

Try this.

1) Navigate to theGW2 directory normaly located at “C:\Program Files (x86)\Guild Wars 2\” or “C:\Program Files\Guild Wars 2\”
2) R-Click “Gw2.EXE” then select Send To>Desktop (create shortcut)
3) One your Desktop R-Click the “Gw2 – shortcut” and Rename it to “Gw2 – Port 80”
4) R-Click the “Gw2 – Port 80” shortcut and select Properties
5) In the tagert line, all the way to the right after the quotation mark add a space then type the following: -clientport 80
Example: “C:\Program Files (x86)\Guild Wars 2\Gw2.exe” -clientport 80
Example 2: “C:\Program Files\Guild Wars 2\” -clientport 80
6) Click Apply then OK
7) Try running the game

………NOTE FIXED by it’s self. before i tryed this , but i hope it helps. by the looks of it it’s at THERE end the prob got not a thing to do with our computers………
To rule out the possibility that there is another program interfering with the game connection. To do this, we use a Windows command called “MSCONFIG.”

Please note, this command will not uninstall any applications from your computer. All MSCONFIG does is prevent these applications from automatically starting when Windows boots up.

To do this:

1. Press and hold the Windows key and then hit the R key. This should bring up the Run dialog box.

2. Type “MSCONFIG” without the quotes, and click “OK.” This should open the System Configuration Utility.

3. Click on the “Services” tab and check the “Hide All Microsoft Services” check box near the bottom, then click the “Disable All” button. (You MUST click “Hide all Microsoft Services”)

4. Next go to the “Startup” tab and click the “Disable All” button.

5. Once these items are all disabled, click the “OK” button and you will get a prompt to restart your computer. Please restart your computer.

6. Once you return to Windows, please try connecting to the game again.
