Make sure you are running the game as administrator. Verify your antivirus/firewall permissions.

On the link, click on code 58:xx… And try that as well.

I love Australia! I miss it there so much lol.

However, during my time there I noticed I had connection issues playing a … Different… game some time back. Sporadically, my connection would d/c constantly and lag exceeding 3000ms was common at times. Other times, fine!

You may actually have a great connection, so this may not be related, but one thing to consider is the hops your connection is routed through might be high population at various times.

Since your game worked fine on a completely different connection and computer (btw, not something many would recommend lol), it is most likely an issue on your end.

You might need to post a game advisor report.

A crash log would be exceedingly helpful also. What we need is your arenanet.log file (my documents/guild wars 2) exported as a .txt file and attached below along with the game advisor report using more posting & formatting options down below.

If you do submit a ticket, please come back here and post your solution once they’ve helped you find it. Help others with this problem.

I’m definitely seeing some connection issues, 2 local nodes on your route aren’t playing nice. And you were unable to establish connection with a couple auth servers.

I’m noticing you have some antivirus and other bits running, after the initial queen’s jubilee patch several others reported that the game was triggering antivirus software again and others report that it happens with each new build.

You can try to disable it temporarily and test.

Or better yet, run msconfig, disable all startup programs, restart comp, test gw2 extensively. If no connection issues, then it’s time to narrow down the culprit(s). You can easily re-enable all by repeating the steps, remember to restart.

If this doesn’t help, please review the error codes link I posted above and have a play with the error code 58 stuff or check your router for the ports listed on code 7, make sure they are unrestricted.

You may need to contact your ISP to make sure they didn’t suddenly start blocking ports.

If none of this works, send this game advisor report in with your ticket, they may understand what is happening… Or maybe the winsock reset would help, but I can’t be 100% certain. Usually Ashley knows when to recommend that and how to do it.

Seems you have issues due to population.

That’s a real bummer!

I’m surprised support didn’t mention any of the red flags in your game advisor report, did you submit one to them?
