crossfire/sli scale with 64bit client?
It is not true sli/crossfire didn’t work in 32bit client.
Anyway, doing that crossfire is not the best option. Any nowadays low end gpu is quite more powerful than yours.
i7 5775c @ 4.1GHz – 12GB RAM @ 2400MHz – RX 480 @ 1390/2140MHz
I wouldn’t bother with sli again, just one good graphics card 980ti ?
A strong single GPU is almost always better than SLI/Crossfire but I wouldnt suggest a +$600 GPU for Gw2,especially seeing as OPs CPU is going on 6 years old.
The absolute minimum GPU I would recommend is an R7 380,which can be had for around $170 and is more than enough for GW2,and most other games, at high settings(Ultra settings in Gw2 is unfeasible for the foreseeable future).
Alright, thanks a lot for all the input. I’ll just see if i can sell my current card and get a new one. Definitely one for under 200 dollars.
So, what about the people that already have 2 cards in crossfire and don’t want to buy 1 better card?
I have 2x R9 290X in crossfire on 2x 4k displays.
When I run 64bit client in fullscreen (needed for crossfire to work) the client simply crashes! Not tested with 32bit client yet..
