Check your screenshots looking for pictures of your characters. It may help jog your memory.
If you’re lucky, you took a picture with your hero tab open and you’ve got a name of a non-deleted character showing up.
If you have any real life friends who played the game with you or you’ve talked about the game heavily to, ask them if they remember a character’s name. I know I was able to help someone who had that problem. He was unable to remember a name of his character, but I remembered the one he used the most when playing with me.
Otherwise or if pictures and friends don’t have the answer, you’ll have to do as JustTrogdor said and submit a support ticket
