so i sit here reading up on how long it has taken a lot of other players to get done with the initial patch after first installing the game…..oh my god this is going to take me foreverrrrr!!!!!!!!! i predict maybe getting to start by this time tomorrow, just kinda wanted to rant lol and say hai guys im new to gw2 and hopefully get to play soon!

It took me about 5 hours to get every thing so I could play…. Sad to say my PC had a Issue and I had to do a clean install on it… Then had to re-download every thing again… My down load speed is around 15 Mbps… If that helps you…

mine is downloading at like, 115Mbps, and after turning it on at 8am this morning here it is at 2:30 pm and im at 13%

Have you run a speed test??? Not sure where you are located here in The US I use…

im rocking a pretty kittenty download mbps but its okay for this small town in oklahoma, i guess i figured it out this game has ALOT of big files for me to have to download for the initial patch, i was just hoping for an easier way to shortcut some of them bigger files, this time after about a day and a half im finally at 92% with only 18k files left out of the 400k that i had to start with so heres hoping i can play later tonight

Wow Good luck… I know I was having a fit over 5 hours… Well the full game takes just at 18.8 gb on my hard drive….
