Just tried to transfer my account to an american server. I could log in on my main and already was “out-of-town”.
Went back to my home server (EU). Same error occured when I tried to log in.

You don’t have to come back, just stay on the US server and play, if you can put up with the lag.

Yep I can confirm Orogrim. Transferred to US, logged in, went to another zone and transferred back to my European server. I was able to log in but as soon as I used a WP or switched to another area i had the error again…
Switzerland +1. Have not tried the US server transfer yet but hopefully it will be sorted out by tomorrow CET time. Logged a ticket to support but no reply yet.
Such a shame as I’m away for a week from tomorrow and had scheduled mass game-time today to keep me going! I r sad panda.

lvl 69 and crashed while porting to Straits of Devastation.
I can log in after a few minutes and even able to play in the zone i was (Maelstrom) but as soon i try to take a World Travel, i crash again.
If i die and try to respawn on the same zone, crash aswell.
Switzerland and aswell Swisscom, based at Geneva.
Plz fix it

Hey all,
I would like to request some diagnostic information from you all.
1. Navigate to your Guild Wars 2 folder.
2. Right-click on “GW2.exe” and select “Create Shortcut.”
3. Right-click on “GW2.exe – Shortcut” and select “Rename.”
4. Rename this file to “Guild Wars 2 Diagnostic.”
5. Right-click on “Guild Wars 2 Diagnostic” and select “Properties.”
6. Locate the “Target” line and add the following to the end “-diag”
Your target line should look like this: C:\Gamse\Guild Wars 2\GW2.exe -diag
7. Click “Ok” to save your changes.
8. Double click “Guild Wars 2 Diagnostic” to start the test.
Once completed, please click “View Results” and save the results to a text file on your desktop. You can than attach them to your post here.

It doesn’t change anything. From Switzerland too. Located in Biel/Bienne and I’m a Swisscom customer. French speaker.
I have to reboot the computer everytime in order to launch the game. Then I get my characters page and when I try to load the game I get this message.

Do something, let us know what is happening.
Please note that I tried to use the Google DNS => as 8.8.8.8 / 8.8.4.4
As it appears that a lot of users are coming from Switzerland, I dont’ think the problem is related to Swisscom.

I can confirm the issues with this code as well and, unsurprisingly, are from Switzerland as well. Bern to be exactly.
I didn’t have the issue in Metrica Province, but as soon as I zoned into Lion’s Arch I was booted as well. Two additional characters are stranded in Diessa Plateau and Lion’s Arch respectively.

I just was able to play the first solo quest of a rogue. But then, when I have to load the Valley of the Queen, same issue occurs. I know we have to be patient but it is really annoying. Keep us posted please.
Hi from switzerland and have the same problem since 1 day now. I was playing in a 40-50 zone and then I crash. My alts are fine but not the pvp’s zones.

I’m from Switzerland too and it feels like ANet banned our country from the login-process.
Since 2 days I experience this error code almost every time I try to log in. First I thought it was a server problem but then my guild told me that they can play fine.
It takes me about 9 to 10 log in tries to get actually ingame. It start’s with problems when I try to log-in
“game-client couldn’t connect with the Log-In-Server”
and if I get past this error once, I get the 5:11 Errorcode when I try to log in with on of my characters. If I get into the game once, I will be kicked the next time I try to change the map.
Game is simply unplayable for me right now.
From Switzerland as well, on Swisscom. When I VPN to my work (ETH Zurich) I don’t have a glitch (and obviously no lag, given that ETH Zurich has a huge ISP-tunnel).
For those having problem with other companies (i.e. green.ch) it might be that these companies actually rely on Swisscom net to get some data around.
Hope this gets fixed soon
Also Switzerland and Swisscom with the same error… I have no issues when playing over VPN of my university. I hope this is just a temporary solution! I will post my log as soon as I can.

First I was able to work-around this issue by rebooting (pc and router) and logging in several times… turns into a permanent issue now. Cannot connect anymore.
Same issue here since ystd…
Something weird though, I can’t play with my account on my computer, okay. But (!), I can play with a friend account on my computer and he can play with my account on his computer.
Hope it’ll be fixed soon.

I just called Swisscom (second call) and I had the information they have found the problem, it has a relationship with a hosting site that allows access to other (I know it has nothing do not ask me more details ^ ^).

Apparently the problem is solved.
I can not assure myself because I was not able to connect.
Seems to be fixed. Transferred back to my Gandara EU server and was able to login fine.
Since this morning all is back to normal. I’m not from Switzerland but from France so there was nothing to do with Swisscom. This problem had already been repaired by the past and finally reapeared, well, I just hope all this is a bad souvenir now.

You are probably logged into an overflow server. Don’t go to your homeserver if the message pops and don’t change regions/enter instances.
My brother played the whole evening yesterday because he was in a crowded place he chose to never leave the overflow server…
i am not that lucky
edit: i noticed the launcher has also more problems to accept the login. i had 3 timeouts in a row just now…
