I purchased the game yesterday and have had nothing but trouble.
First ticket request. could not sign in with password.
by the time I got a response I had reset my password and got in. Then my internet explorer starts acting up with security warnings about some program trying to access “web host process (rundll32)” click to allow 4 or 5 times and it won’t go to a home page. download firefox and it works a little better. reset settings in explorer. works fine until I open GW2. then back to warnings. I repeated this step 3 times before I give up.
To make this post short I will omit many steps i took. LOL.
Got it to finally download.
after it downloaded I hit play and got into the game. YAY! I had a friend on another server and we wanted to make sure I signed up on his so I closed the game out.
I went to sign back in and I get this error code……….error code: 42:0:9001:4410……..addressing a possible fire wall issue.
I follow all instructions including downloading some port forwarding software recommended in the instructions. I even purchased the software for $40 because I don’t understand enough about ports to confidently configure it. It runs and promises to forward my ports. No luck. made exceptions in firewall for GW2. made exception in windows defender for GW2. turned off firewall rand GW2. same error.
Can’t play GW2……..explorer is still a mess………waiting all day for a response from support. which I received way early on when I couldn’t sign in and they said. “please give more detailed information on what the problem is.” I am not sure what at that point I need to explain more about. At this point if I have to do this through e-mail I should be playing by Christmas 2016 and will never be able to surf the web again because of these pop up boxes.
If anyone could tell me the one box I need to check in my system to get this thing to work I would appreciate it. To many details to explain all the step I have gone through but I hope there is enough here to at least get pointed in the right direction. Thanks in advance.

Issue resolved……malware.

I’m guessing he ran a malware app, such as Malwarebytes and removed the malware from his computer.
You can Google malware, and download any of the free apps and run them on your computer, as well.

no malware on my comp so not that,
Know any program you can use to make sure its not being blocked by firewalls?
I can run CS and other Games easily with no problem, this is the only game im having trouble with.

I had the exact same error. I did my best. Even removed the antivirus. And do you know what was the problem? ….. Crooked rose launcher !!!! It’s simple! Simply remove and put layncher again! The problem was solved
