May seem like a n00bish question but I have this issue with many ports as well as GW2. Is there anyway to use the Function keys like you would in Windows in game, without having to also press ‘fn’?

you can change the behavior of th F-keys in your keyboard settings, but that is system wide, not just for GW2.
Another method is to use an app called FunctionFlip, which allows to change the behaviour of individual F-keys. So you could change f1-f4 to work in game, but keep the rest as media keys.

I’ve ended up setting up a secondary binding for the F1-4 keys to Control+1-4. It took a while to get used to but I can play using either now (for when I reboot into windows).

I second Ceribis’s suggestion. I’ve got my secondary bindings set up to Shift-1 through Shift-4. Honestly, given that most Mac users aren’t going to want to change the behavior of their function keys, I think this would be a sensible default to include in the client.

This little App is a pretty good workaround. You can set up software profiles and which mode the keys should use!

FunctionFlip is a free alternative.

Naqaj’s first suggestion of functionflip is the best and probably didn’t need to be reposted . I just use it for F1-4, works like a charm thanks. Palua is 0.99p :O I spent all my monies on GW2 can’t afford that lol
