i used to be able to get a solid 30+fps before the patch but now i am stuck with 10-20fps what is going on? please fix this arenanet:C

I’m glad I’m not the only one. Before the patch I was getting a steady 30-40 fps, but now it’s between 9-15 fps.

Check your graphic settings. Once I reverted everything to where it was before, I’m sitting at 60FPS again.

I tried that and nothing. Any other ideas I can try, or should I wait and see if it has something to do with the game’s recent patch?

Same here. My fps dropped by a good 15fps when i have a lot of ppl on my screen.

Yeah, same here. FPS droped for 15-20, been 60 all the time.

Same here, my fps in DR is normal 50 and now it sits at 25 or lower.

Yup, I used to run the game at 40-50 fps but now it run at 28-30

I’ve lost about 15-20 fps as well. Would rather have more than less, considering my rig.

I’m also down to 9-15 fps after patch. Was running 40-60 previously. Reassuring knowing i’m not alone

Yep, same here, i can get barely 40fps now (when nothing is there “empty map”) before i had stable 60fps (with vsync on) i can get barely 20-25 now (event fields… etc)

I don’t even get 20fps anymore and i’ve been messing about with the settings for ages, it’s unplayable for me right now. This happens with new additions to the game like the new camera but some response would be really nice.

Same problem Frame Rate has dipped to 15-20 with best performance. Before I was in 30-40 range with recommended settings.

Please give an official response!

No fix with the new build.

The UI after the patch is costing a 20FPS~ on average drop in performance. I am seeing this on 4 seperate systems I play GW2 on so I created a Bug on it.

Please post about it in the thread I linked. it needs to get attention in the Bug forum so it gets fixed. Anet does not really monitor this sub forum all that often.

Seems that they could have waited a few more days before releasing a patch that would eat half your fps.

few things. have you tried this

turn all settings to lowest / turned off
close the game and reload
set all settings to how you used to have them.

normally when they do game engine changes it causes some issues and by setting everything to its lowest you “clear” the game and it runs smoothly after.

also have u tried running a game repair.

I would like to mention that doing AC path one today and fighting the second boss my FPS droped to 10 fps and stutterd like crazy. and I couldn’t close the game and had to force close it.

they did indeed cause a nasty issue with the game.

also if u notice the XP bar at the bottom of the screen was redesigned which might be a factor in this.

also try getting updated GPU drivers. uninstall the old one then install the new one (this insures no driver corruption / conflicts, yes it does happen even today to argue is foolish)

Same here, was getting around 80 fps, now it was 33-40, and an eye popping 9 fps standing outside the black citadel. Not worth bothering with it anymore.

Its the UI, nothing we can do about it but wait it out. See my post in the Bug sub forum.

Same here, I’d be happy with 24 fps with a full map of people near me. I used to have around 40 fps.
Also lowering graphics barely helped anything. Only lowest settings would give me 32 fps (this should be easily 60+).
Changing window size also does not do much. Normally it would.
I hope it will be better soon because I can miss a few frames, but 15+ is a lot, I don’t think that’s intended ^^;

yea this patch has been terrible for low end computers, this game is unplayable now. if anyone has figured out a fix please let me know thanks.

I fixed it by doing blow. It worked for me.

• Adjusting collision sensitivity all the way to left. (FPS backed up from 15-ish to 60)
• Adjusting Field of View to get good balance of FoV vs FPS

unfortunately theres no dealers near me, so i cant get hold of any “blow”:(

Tried a dungeon path, getting worse performance than I used to get in a WvW blob v blob encounter. Intel i3-3220 CPU @ 3.30GHz, 4GB RAM, and Radeon HD 7470. Dipping down to single digits FPS in a dungeon fight. The game is UNPLAYABLE -.-

Dont necro a post that is a year old. Make a new thread with your issue.

Chances are your GPU is in 1x mode or version 1.1 power management. Load GPU-Z while GW2 is running in a window to verify. Normally the fix for that is to pull the GPU out and reseat it.
