How is this supposed to work? I just purchased a retail copy of the standard version and did the install and register. I don’t see anything about any free upgrade.

I was wondering the same thing for this, I really hope that because we bought it retail and not digitally we don’t miss out on this :/

First: Digital Deluxe edition is an exclusive from buy.guildwars2.com
Second: Digital Deluxe edition it’s not a retail standard version, so you won’t get a free upgrade.

Your best solution is to ask for a refund and buy the digial deluxe edition (wizard’s edition) from this site https://buy.guildwars2.com/en/buy/wizard-edition

The offer will end at 12:00 PM 7 January, 2013, so in a few hours.

Since you bought a retail version, you will need to work out if and how to get a refund with the retailer. You would need to follow their policy on this.

You can upgrade the standard edition via the gemshop.

The OP is asking for free upgrade to the digital deluxe. You can’t upgrade it for free via the gemshop.

That’s true. But you can get it anyway. It is 2000 gems.
