my game keeps freezing. WHY ANET WHY??? fix this kitten plz

Overheat? Spec?

I had this problem since the last patch (May 28th) in wvw playing in full screen. When I changed to windowed full screen it stopped freezing. I hope this helps someone.

Experiencing same problems in WvW since the last patch. But it does not even take 10 minutes. Windowed modus didnt fix anything for me.

All three of you need to provide more information.
System Specifications,temperatures on the GPU and CPU, more detailed problem description(Does the whole PC freeze or just GW. Does it unfreeze without a hard restart?)
..Once we get that information we can begin to advise.

This just happened to me twice this morning. The client froze and I had to CTRL+ALT+DEL to start Task Manager and End Task the client. This is the first problem of any kind that I have had since launch. Getting really irritated losing my buff stacks. I’ll post more info on my PC soon as I have a minute.

This is happening to me too. I have crashed 3 times within the last hour, and I cant remember gw2 ever crashing on me in the last 5 months or so.

In WvW, the 3rd time i log back in, tp to wvw , type 1 sentence and then the game freezes.

got also that game crash in wvw ag 19:00-20:16 the netherlands

Intel® Core™ i5-3330 (tot 3,2 GHz, 6 MB cache) 8gb ram
1,5 GB GDDR5 NVIDIA® GeForce® GTX 660

cable internet

if crash then i keep the gw2 mouse pointer in my windows cant end the program then
try ctrl + alt del then mouse still in gw2 mode so cantr end it can go back to desktop

cpu still using 4% mem like 7%

using win8 64bit

Same happens too me now never add 1 crash seens day 1 now 2 time in 1 hour

I also experienced 3-4 freezes today in WvWvW. The picture freezes and the game does not respond.

The three that I remember were:

1) Killing a sentry with no other players around.
2) During a defense of anz pass with about 20-25 players on screen.
3) Running into Durios gulch with no players on screen.

I had to use task manager to close the client and restart each time.

I’m currently running 2 Geforce GTX680s (SLI), 8MB ram with my graphics set to auto-detect in game.

I’d give more detail regarding specs but am currently not at my desktop.

I’ve had about 30-40 freezes since the update, seems to happen only in wvw. About 25% of the persons on our servers Teamspeak have this problem, some get gw.exe errors. For me it freezes and Taskmanager says inactive.
I7-3770k, gtx 680, 16GB RAM, tried many different settings

Other Problems I have since update in wvw are a flickering map and commander symbols not visible because of the player dots over it

first : i never had crashes before the last update.
what happens : suddenly the screen freezes, no error messages, i had to kill the process with control alt del then kill it (it was written, no answer from gw2)
i was in eb. all my guild had this crash, some people very often others (like me) once after roughly one hour. i was not on fight when this happened.

It happend to me twice.It was a complete game freeze,no errors showing up and nothing special that i did.Was just running around in WvW not even fighting or near lots of people,it was very random.Had to ctrl alt delt my way out of the game.It happen twice so far.

Maybe it has something to do with the current WvWv optimizations that have been done in the latest update.
